Renowned music director Abhijit Majumdar, who was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, has shown significant signs of improvement in his health condition.
Hospital sources confirmed that he has now been shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following positive progress in his treatment.
Majumdar, a celebrated name in the Odia film and music industry, has been undergoing treatment at AIIMS after his health deteriorated earlier this week. Doctors attending to him reported that his condition has stabilised, and in view of his improving health, he has been moved from the ICU to the Medicine Ward for further monitoring and care.

“His renal function and liver function tests are normal. His Electrolytes are corrected. He is currently on physiotherapy and other supportive management. His vitals are stable at present. He was shifted out of ICU today morning (11am). At present, he is in Medicine ward (E6 – Isolation Room – Bed no 29) for continuation of his treatment,” a statement by the hospital stated.
Fans and well-wishers across Odisha have been praying for his speedy recovery. Social media platforms have been flooded with messages of concern and support since the news of his hospitalisation surfaced.
Doctors have advised continuous observation, but the improvement has brought relief to his family, fans, and the Odia music fraternity.
