In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharsuguda on September 27.
During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting. The Chief Minister’s Office has released information regarding the Prime Minister’s upcoming tour to Odisha.
As per sources, PM Modi is focusing on Odisha, and as a result, he is making frequent visits to the state.
Earlier, PM Modi was supposed to address a public meeting at Berhampur in Ganjam district on September 27. However, the schedule has now been changed, and the PM will now visit Jharsuguda on the same day.
Notably, the Odisha government has been organising elaborate programmes on the occasion of PM Modi's birthday. The state BJP is observing 'seba pakhya' for 15 days. Under the circumstances, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi requested PM Modi to visit Odisha, and he agreed.
As the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain and wind in Berhampur on September 27, PM Modi's visit has been reportedly shifted to Jharsuguda.
Though the full schedule of PM Modi's visit has not been announced yet, it has been learnt that it could be a two-day visit. The Odisha government is expected to launch many new schemes on the occasion.
As per reports, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal visited Jharsuguda a couple of days ago and took stock of the situation where the public meeting will be held. He also discussed with the local leaders about the program. Preparations have started on full swing in Jharsuguda for PM Modi's program.
