The Orissa High Court on Thursday allowed DJ music during the upcoming Durga Puja in the Millennium City of Cuttack, but Court clearly mentioned that the noise levels should be within 65 decibels.

Hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) about the problems in Cuttack City, the High Court has given the order.
Earlier, the Orissa High Court had ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack to file an affidavit mentioning the steps taken by it to prevent noise pollution in the city during the upcoming Durga Puja festivities.
Meanwhile, the Court expressed dissatisfaction over the poor condition of the roads in the city and ordered to finish the road work within seven days.
A few days back, the Orissa High Court had ordered not to construct gates on roads in Cuttack city during the upcoming Dussehra festival in a bid to avoid congestion.
The Court had also ordered the removal of cables and other wires hanging over the roads in Millennium City that could possibly pose threats to the lives of people.
