In a matter of pride for the state, the Government of India has appointed IFS Arun Kumar Sahu from Odisha as India’s next ambassador to Bulgaria, a key nation in South-Eastern Europe. Arun Kumar Sahu, presently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry has been appointed as India’s next ambassador to Bulgaria, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) informed.
He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Sahu has been serving as Additional Secretary (Central Europe) in the Ministry since September 2022. His tenure is marked by notable achievements and expertise in various diplomatic fields. Hailing from Odisha’s Deogarh, the 1996 batch IFS officer had earlier served as Ambassador of India (High Commissioner of India) to Trinidad, Tobago.
