In a heartwarming gesture of going beyond the call of duty, a driver and another staffer of an ambulance on Tuesday, carried a pregnant woman for 3 kilometers after the vehicle failed to reach her village due to absence of a motorable road. The incident was reported form Koraput district in Odisha. As per reports, Bati Santa, a resident of Dumuriguda village in the district, got into labour on Tuesday. Following which her family members called an ambulance to shift her to the nearest hospital. Though the ambulance reached near the village, it could not travel beyond due to no motorable road.
