Back in 2020, just after the Covid lockdown started in India, a parrot sneaked into Shalby's house in Pachalam in Kerala's Kochi. Shalby fed the bird that day. The next day, other parrots also joined the bird. Their numbers kept rising and now, almost more than 50 birds, including 40 parrots, some sparrows and pigeons are visiting his house daily.
The birds apparently come two or three times daily, to feed in morning around 6.30 am and again in the afternoon and later in the evening, before sunset. And Shalby feeds all of them every...single...day!
Shelby usually places food on top of a wall and the birds perch peacefully and eat.
