Panic has gripped Kashmir valley after the targeted killings of non-Kashmiris by terrorists over last few days. Out of fear, a group of migrants from Rajasthan who were working in Kashmir's Srinagar are returning to their native places. The residents alleged that the grim situation in the valley forced them to leave Kashmir.
On Sunday, two labourers from Bihar were gunned down by terrorists in Kulgam district. The total number of civilians killed in targeted attacks in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 11 this month which includes 5 people from other states.
National media reports suggest that through such targeted killings, the terrorist groups want to drive ‘outsiders’ out of Kashmir. The killings have sparked fear among citizens, so much so that the valley is witnessing a situation like 1990 exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits.
