Rail services have been affected across the country as the Samyukta Kisan Morcha observed rail roko agitation today (October 18), seeking action against those involved in Lakhimpur Kheri violence. The farmer unions have also demanded removal of Union minister Ajay Mishra from his post.

Thousands of farmers under the aegis of SKM are holding a six-hour nationwide rail roko agitation pressing for their demands. The rail blockade started at 10AM and will be remain in force till 4pm today. Protests were seen across many railway stations in the country, including Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, and Jeypore in Odisha.
