True love can not just transcend borders, but it comes with a knack for wading through disasters too! A bride and a groom, both of them health workers in Kerala’s Chengannur, reached their marriage venue in a cooking vessel. The marriage was set to take place on Monday at Thalavadi Panayannoorkavu Devi temple in Alappuzha.

However, owing to incessant rains over the last two days, roads were flooded with water. For bride and groom, it was one of their momentous events in life and they did not want to miss the auspicious time fixed for marriage.

Helped by a few relatives, the couple reached the temple in a cooking vessel to tie the nuptial knot. The unusual & uncommon event has gone viral on social media. Groom Akash is a native of Takazhi and bride Aiswarya is a resident of Ambalapuzha. The marriage took place in presence of limited number of guests as per Covid norms.
