Bridge collapses in Himachal's Chamba district causing major destruction. Bridge on Chamba highway caves in after huge rockslide from Luna mountain. Built in 1966 the bridge was lifeline across Ravi river in the region. No casualties however has been reported in the incident.

Vice-Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi has been appointed the next Chief of the Naval Staff by the government. He will take charge on April 30 after the superannuation of the current chief, Admiral R. Hari Kumar.
