Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's Akasa Air Set To Start Operations In Mid-2022

Low-cost carrier Akasa Air, which is backed by Billionaire Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from government to operate. Set to become India’s 7th airline, Akasa is expected to start operations by mid-2022.

Good news keeps coming for the air travellers. Low-cost carrier Akasa Air, which is backed by Billionaire Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from government to operate. Set to become India’s 7th airline, Akasa is expected to start operations by mid-2022. The Airline has already received initial clearance from the Civil Aviation Ministry to launch India's latest ultra-low cost carrier.
