Water Sports At Hirakud: Major Boost For Odisha Tourism

Boating, parasailing, scuba diving, water skating and much more - tourist footfall has posted a steady increase at the Hirakud Dam post introduction of these thrilling water sporting activities. Water sports were introduced at the right dyke of the reservoir on April 2 this year. Stopped because of pandemic for a few months, the thrill is back at Hirakud after resumption. Introduction of these water sports and other leisure activities has been an eye-catcher for the tourists. It has also played a major role in attracting outstation travelers for experiencing these wonderful adventure sports. This apart, congregation of thousands of migratory birds has always been alluring for tourists thronging the dam.
