DRDO successfully test fired the short-range, surface-to-surface conventional ballistic missile 'Pralay' off the Odisha coast in Balasore. The missile met all its objectives by following the desired quasi ballistic trajectory and reached the designated target with high degree of accuracy. Pralay is a 350-500 km short-range, surface-to-surface missile with a payload capacity of 500-1,000 kg. The advance missile has been developed to defeat interceptor missiles and has the ability to change its path midair.
