A 3-month old elephant calf fell into a well and got separated from the herd in Keonjhar.
On Oct 23rd it was rescued by the forest officials, who tried to reunite the calf with herd for 3 days but failed.
Later the calf was sent to Kapilas Zoo in Dhenkanal . Forest officials said that one of the reasons could be that when an elephant calf comes in contact with humans it is not accepted by the herd.
