After a lull, protests outside Assembly are once again gathering strength. Hundreds of aspiring junior teachers in the state took to the streets of Bhubaneswar on Monday (Nov 15) demanding employment.

Holding placards which stated ‘Job or Jail’, the job aspirants alleged that the government has not announced any recruitment in the last 6 years.

The aspiring teachers alleged that despite meeting all eligibility and other essential criteria for qualification, the government is yet to take steps in this regard.

On Monday, a scuffle broke out between the agitating teachers and the police officials deployed outside the Odisha Assembly when the teachers attempted to storm through the gates of the premises.
