These are not just tears. They represent the strength of a woman who brought her husband back from the jaws of death. Engineer Ajay Roshan Lakra and peon Suraj Lakhman Paritagiri were abducted by Naxals while supervising Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana works at Kurana and Makeli areas of Chhattisgarh.
After receiving information about her husband’s abduction, the engineer’s wife decided to venture into the Maoist den with her three-year-old child to get her partner back. After tracing the whereabouts, she discovered that the Naxals had already sentenced her husband to death at a ‘Praja’ court. The woman then proceeded to convince the praja court and Naxals to let her husband go and was finally able free her husband.
