In a shocking incident, a man from Sankarpur under Choudwar in Cuttack came under police scanner for allegedly poisoning 20 stray dogs to death. As per reports, locals in the area noticed that around 3-4 stray dogs died within a span of three days.

This led to foul play suspicion and the locals later discovered that a street food vendor had poisoned the dogs. On being confronted, the vendor admitted to his cruel deeds and stated that he had killed only four dogs to get rid of them.

However, the culprit adamantly defended his act stating that the dogs had been defecating near his shop's clay oven (tandoor) which forced him to kill the canines. Meanwhile, irate locals filed a case against the accused at the Chowdwar Police Station and demanded stringent action against him.
