The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Wednesday (Oct 27), discovered the ruins of another ancient temple buried in the Suka Sari shrine area. As per sources, the ASI team discovered the basement of another ancient temple in the area. The ancient structure was discovered on the North-East corner of Suka-Sari which is a 10th century shrine and older than the Lingaraj Temple.

Reports stated that after the discovery of the ancient structure, the ASI has resumed the excavation on the site. Meanwhile, it is being suspected that the structure found at the Suka Sari area was built years prior to the Suka-Sari temple, making it much older than all the temples in the area.
