10-Ft-Long Burmese Python Triggers Panic, Rescued By Forest Personnel

Sunday afternoon (Nov 21), a giant python was reportedly spotted in a residential area near Farabari Nepali slum Fulbari in Siliguri. The sight of the snake reportedly triggered panic among locals who immediately contacted the Dabgram Forest Range officials under Baikunthapur Forest Division.

Sunday afternoon (Nov 21), a giant python was reportedly spotted in a residential area near Farabari Nepali slum Fulbari in Siliguri. The sight of the snake reportedly triggered panic among locals who immediately contacted the Dabgram Forest Range officials under Baikunthapur Forest Division.

The Forest Officials reached the spot and recued the snake which was identified to be a Burmese Python of around 10-feet length. The python was then released into the wild in a healthy condition.
