As vaccination drive in India continues its upward trajectory and coronavirus cases are declining, several big companies are planning to call back their employees to offices. Like other IT giants including TCS & Wipro among others, Infosys is also gearing up to bring back its employees to office desks.

During its second-quarter earnings press brief on Wednesday (October 13), the IT major unveiled that how it's engaging to adopt a hybrid work model by calling its senior leaders to the offices once a week.

The Chief Operating Officer of Infosys, Pravin Rao said that they are asking the senior executives to attend the offices at least once a week from this month. Rao informed that over 90% of Infosys employees are working from home globally.

At least 91% of employees are working from office in China, while 98.5% staff are still working from home in India, US and UK, he said. The top official further said that the company has opened most of its offices following strict COVID protocols and employees are allowed to attend office on a voluntary basis.

The Chief Operating Officer also said that they are asking senior executives to attend the offices and requesting them to have an intervention for employees at least once a month so that a larger population is ready to come to the office.

He also said that the company is working on a hybrid model which will provide flexibility to the employees and also enables them to fulfill the clients' requirements as well.
