Former US President Donald Trump was wounded on Saturday during his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in an incident that’s being termed as an assassination attempt. A shooter on a roof near the rally site opened fired aiming at Trump.Trump was in middle of his speech, he turned towards the right with his hands on his lectern, when the sound of multiple gunshots was suddenly heard. It was found that the bullet just touched his right ear leaving him unharmed. Donald Trump says a last millisecond head tilt likely saved his life. If Trump hadn't moved his head, the bullet would reportedly have hit the back of his head, ending his life on the spot.Trump says he tilted his head to look at illegal immigration statistics on the big screen at his rally. "That chart that I was going over saved my life," Trump reportedly said to former White House doctor Ronny Jackson. "The border patrol saved my life." The former president reportedly said if he hadn’t pointed at that chart and turned his head to look at it, that bullet would have hit him right in the head.Meanwhile, US president Joe Biden has directed for probe into the alleged assassination attack and ordered independent review of security measures.
