PV Sindhu beat China's He Bing Jiao to win the women's singles bronze medal on Sunday (August 1) at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
PV Sindhu became the first Indian woman to win two Olympic medals.
Before the Games began, PM Modi interacted with PV Sindhu and her parents virtually, asking the athlete about her diet and whether she was allowed to have her favourite ice cream.
In reply Sindhu had said that she has to control because for an athlete, diet is very important.
Then the Prime Minister promised that he would eat ice cream with Sindhu when she will return with a medal.
