WATCH: Elon Musk Unveils 5.8-ft Tesla Humanoid Robot

After venturing into the space, elon musk's company tesla, is now working on a humanoid robot. Tesla and spacex ceo elon musk announced this during the ‘ai day' event on thursday (august 19). At tesla 'ai day' event, musk unveiled a prototype humanoid robot, the "tesla bot". The tesla robot is going to be 5 foot 8 inches tall, just like an average human body. The robot will weigh 125 pounds and have a walking gait of 5 miles per hour. The robot's face will house a screen to display information. The robots will be designed to handle "tasks that are unsafe, repetitive or boring," musk said. The 5.8-inch bot would be used to handle automated machines at tesla factories, musk added. According to musk, the bot is "intended to be friendly and navigate through a world built for humans". However, the prototype of the robot will probably launch sometime next year.
