Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been hospitalised after he complained of breathlessness. The 98-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai's PD Hinduja hospital in the suburbs on Sunday (June 6) morning. The actor's wife Saira Banu said that he was unwell and had some breathing issues for the past few days.

A post from the actor's verified Twitter account, handled by his manager, updated that the veteran actor has been admitted to the hospital for routine tests and investigations. Dilip Kumar is currently under the care of a team of healthcare workers led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale, at the hospital. Reports suggest that he has not been meeting anyone since the Covid-19 outbreak as his immunity is low.

He was also avoiding contact with outsiders. Dilip Kumar is best-known for his performances in classics such as Kohinoor, Mughal-e-Azam, Shakti, and Ram Aur Shyam, among others. He was last seen on the big screen in 'Qila' in 1998.
