While the entire country is reeling under the shock of TV actor Sidharth Shukla’s sudden demise, Mumbai’s Oshiwara Police registering the case as ‘accidental death’ has drawn enough eyeballs.

On Friday (Sept 3), Police claimed to have launched a probe into the death after the doctors said that the cause of death is inconclusive and more tests will be conducted to give a final report. The doctors have therefore sent samples to the Forensic lab for further examination.

Even though the police suspects that Sidharth died after a cardiac arrest, a final word on the case would be released only after the chemical analysis and a histopathology report of the actor’s viscera is out.

As per reports in national media (The Indian Express), Deputy Commissioner of Police Sangramsingh Nishandar, confirmed the same but refused to disclose any other detail in this case. The report in the national daily suggests that once the chemical analysis reports confirm it to be a case of heart attack, police would declare it as 'natural death' and close the investigation.

Dr R Sukhdev, head of the forensic department, had said that the actor had died hours before he was brought to the hospital on Thursday (Sept 2) morning and the doctors declared him brought dead. This is why police lodged 'accidental death' case, since if a person dies under the doctor's watch, the doctors prepare final report ascertaining the cause of the death. However, in this case, since he was a popular figure and had died at his own place, police followed the protocol and conducted an autopsy, followed by the chemical analysis test.

A senior police officer has however confirmed that there were no internal or external injuries in his body.
