After the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) predicted the third wave of Covid-19 to approach in September and October, the India National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) released a report predicting that children will be most affected during the possible third wave. Keeping that in view, the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Chief, CBK Mohanty emphasized the importance of being prepared for the third wave on Monday (Aug 23).

Mohanty informed that children are indeed likely to get more infected since the adult population has attained immunization due to vaccination and previous infections. Therefore, it is essential for everyone to stay prepared for the third wave.
