In a major success to Odisha Police, the Commissionerate Police on Tuesday (Aug 31) busted a major bike lifting gang which was active in Cuttack.

This information was given by Twin City Police Commissioner, Saumendra Priyadarshi. While addressing to media at Cuttack, the CP said that the Malgodown police arrested 9 persons and recovered 32 stolen bikes from their possession.

Meanwhile, the CP also said that the Cuttack Urban Police District has been so far successful in recovering 157 motorcycles which had been stolen this year. Priyadarshi also said that during an analysis of several loot, chain snatching and arms trafficking cases, it was found that the criminals were using stolen bikes or vehicles to execute the crimes.
