After 12 years, Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande's popular television serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’, is all set to make a comeback on the screen again. But, this time the new season of popular TV show Pavitra Rishta, will be back on screen as ‘Pavitra Rishta 2.0’ and will premiere on an OTT platform.
As per reports, the shooting for Pavitra Rishta 2 has begun and the new cast of the show has been announced as well. Popular actor Shaheer Sheikh is all set to play Manav in Pavitra Rishta 2, a character once played by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput before he quit the show to focus on his Bollywood career.
Besides, the show will marks Ankita Lokhande's return as Archana and veteran actor Usha Nadkarni will return to reprise her character, Savita Deshmukh. Recently, Shaheer Sheikh had shared some pictures from Pavitra Rishta 2.0 with Ankita Lokhande and Usha Nadkarni. In the picture with Ankita, Shaheer was seen wearing a check black-and-white shirt, Ankita in a white floral kurta with yellow dupatta.
Shaheer, who is the new face of Manav Deshmukh, penned a heartfelt note on playing Sushant Singh Rajput's role, Manav, on the show. The actor wrote that when he was first approached for Pavitra Rishta 2, he was taken aback and thought would dare to play a character immortalised by Sushant Singh Rajput.
Shaheer also revealed how scared he was to do the role. He also said that nobody can replace Sushant and that he will try to do justice to his role. Recently, Ankita Lokhande had also shared a picture from Pavitra Rishta where she was seen sleeping in a saree on the sets. Meanwhile, fans say no one can replace Sushant... but they are excited to see the new jodi.
However, reports suggest that Pavitra Rishta 2.0 will be streamed on ZEE5 for 55 days following which, it will also be available on ALTBalaji.
