Making India proud, weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu ended the country's 21-year-wait for a weightlifting medal at the Olympics. On Saturday (July 24), weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal in women's weightlifting in the 49kg category at Tokyo Olympics.
Following her win, Mirabai Chanu was heard saying in a media interview how she craved pizza and she also said that the first thing she wanted to do was to have a lot of pizza. Moments after the Olympic silver medalist expressed her wish to have pizza, the popular pizza restaurant chain - Domino's Pizza, came up with an astounding announcement.
Taking to Twitter, Domino's Pizza announced that they would be treating Ms Chanu to “free pizzas for life”. In another tweet, the food chain stated that they did not want the 26-year-old to wait to have pizza, so they decided to make it easy for her with their offer.
Meanwhile, a Domino's staff of Imphal visited Mirabai Chanu's residence and congratulated her family with free pizzas.
