Ace sprinter and Olympian Dutee Chand has lodged a complaint in Mahila police station in Bhubaneswar against a journalist, Editor of a Web-Channel and a social activist.
Dutee in her complaint alleged that she was mentally harassed by a journalist, Editor of a Web-Channel, named Sudhansu Sekhar Rout and RTI activist Pradip Pradhan. Addressing the media on Thursday (September 2),
Dutee alleged that the duo harassed her by publishing news stories about her character and said that the story hurt her a lot and she underwent stress which affected her performance at the Games. Meanwhile, Chand also filed Rs 5 crore defamation lawsuit against the journalist for defaming her.
The Olympian also alleged that it caused her to lose advertisement contracts with several corporate houses. Meanwhile, RTI activist Pradip Pradhan also dined the allegations made by the Athlete.
However, it is to be noted that the 25-year-old Athelete had qualified for Tokyo Olympics on the basis of World Rankings but failed to qualify for the semifinals in the women's 200m event.
