Once the source of livelihood of his owners now left to die a painful death with starvation and disease. This is an old horse that was rescued in an ailing condition on the outskirts of Odisha’s Ganjam on Saturday.
Portraying a grim state of reality, the horse was found in a sick and stray condition grazing near the national highway at Chhatrapur in Ganjam district. According to some locals, the owners of the horse might have abandoned it due to its age-related ailments.
However, animal researcher Dilip Mishra later received information about the ailing horse which was assisted and shifted to Urban Management Veterinary Centre at Janla in Khordha district.
Moreover, a similar case of camel suffering from various old age-related ailments died after it was abandoned by its master inside Manapali forest in Khallikote area of Ganjam district.
