Odisha Youth Invents Smart Mirror That Operates Over Voice Command

This is Swadhin Das, a final year student of Electronics and Telecommunication at Bhubanananda Odisha School of Engineering (BOSE) in Cuttack. Swadhin recently came into limelight after he developed a smart mirror using Artificial Intelligence (AI). This smart mirror is capable of operating electric bulbs, fans, Air Conditioners (ACs) and other electronic devices in a room. Moreover, this smart mirror uses voice command to carry out these tasks.

Swadhin came up with this innovative idea during the lockdown period of the Covid-19 pandemic. This innovation cost him around Rs 20,000. Swadhin claims that this smart mirror technology can help elderly, bed-ridden patients and differently-able people to operate devices at their homes all by themselves.
