This is Anita Chowdhary who resides in the Civil Township in Rourkela, Odisha. Anita is busy preparing delicious momos in her kitchen and is getting assistance from her two young daughters in the process. Anita’s elder daughter Vidhi is just 8 years old.

But she manages to assist her mother everyday in the momo making process. Vidhi’s younger sister Aradhya also helps her mother in folding momos with her tiny hands. This preparation of momo is an every day job of Anita and her two daughters.

After preparing these delicious momos, the three pack the same and Anita later sets out in her scooter to sell these momos. This is the source of her living. However, their enthusiasm and vigour in making and selling momos hides a grim story of their lives.

In the year 2015, Anita’s husband passed away. Since then Anita had to shoulder the entire responsibility of the family. This marked the beginning of struggles of life for Anita and her daughters. However, despite the hardships Anita never looked back and kept moving forward, overcoming all odds in life.

Anita’s momos are delight and are quite popular in the region. Every evening, people throng close to Anita’s scooter to buy momos. The regular customers in the locality have also praised Anita’s momos.

Struggles and obstacles in Anita’s life didn’t break her down, but made her stronger. With her sheer will power and determination, Anita has set an example for many to not lose hope and keep moving ahead in life.
