The Bhubaneswar Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), on Saturday (Sept 18), sounded a 'Yellow Warning' over 13 districts of the state for the next 24 hours.

As per the MeT forecast, the cyclonic circulation over East Central and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal (BoB) now lies over North West and adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal. It is very likely to move towards Odisha coasts during next 12 hours.

As per the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of South Odisha.

However, owing to the cyclonic circulation, starting from Sept 18 till morning of Sept 19, a 'Yellow Warning' has been issued over Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak districts for heavy rainfall. During the same period, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over some districts of the state.

These districts are - Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput. Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar might experience partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thundershowers.

The capital city of the state might witness maximum temperature 34 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature 25 degrees Celsius.
