Amid speculations of schools reopening for offline classes, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister, Samir Ranjan Dash on Tuesday (June 23) clarified that currently no such decision has been taken to reopen schools for conduct of classes in offline mode.

The Minister said that since the onset of the pandemic last year, the schools have been physically shut; and classes are being held only through online mode. In view of this, the minister said that the 30% reduction of syllabus for students of Class 9 and 10 will be applicable in this academic session as well.
