After the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Odisha faced several issues pertaining to the evaluation of the students of Class 9 and 10 during the pandemic, the board decided to implement a new assessment methodology.
This new assessment system will be implemented for Classes 9th and 10th of High School Certificate (HSC) and Madhyama courses for the current academic year. Reports said that on Tuesday (Sept 7), the board conducted a three-day-long training workshop for 96 master trainers at the BSE office in Cuttack.
The training was imparted ahead of the conduct of formative assessment scheduled for the second week of September. Sources said that the master trainers will later train the other teachers in their respective districts.
Meanwhile, the master trainers also expressed their satisfaction for the training imparted to them in the workshop.
For the matriculation exams 2022, BSE is reportedly focussing on assessment based on Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), by which internal assessments can be directly conducted at school level.
