Video of a Tehsildar dancing in a marriage procession in Jagatsinghpur district violating COVID19 guidelines has triggered a controversy.
This is a full blown marriage procession that happed last Friday (May 21) in Jagannathpur village of Jagatsinghpur distict. There was reportedly a gathering of over hundred people in the marriage function with some high-profile administration officials. This purported video is of Tehsildar of Sukinda in Jajpur district, Bulbul Behera, who was also part of the marriage procession. The government official can be seen openly flouting all Covid-19 guidelines. Behera is seen dancing without mask or social distancing. Moreover, she is also seen encouraging others to follow suit! Such blatant violation of Covid-19 rules has raised concerns & triggered criticism. Locals have demanded a high-level investigation and stern action against the violators.
