A group of vendors from Ganjam district have come up with an innovative idea to encourage citizens to participate in the vaccination drive and jump the hesitancy hurdle. They are providing discount on groceries to fully inoculated customers.
Around 10 stores of Hinjilicut Municipality have declared that they would be providing discount to double-vaccinated customers under the municipality. As per reports, currently some shops selling groceries are providing this discount.
Those customers who produce their double-inoculation certificate, will get a 5 percent discount on their overall purchase amount. This initiative will soon be extended to other shops in the municipality as well. The Hinjilicut Municipality authorities have lauded the initiate by the shop vendors and encouraged all to get vaccinated.
