A day after recording close to 5900 positives, Odisha witnessed a marginal increase in the daily Covid-19 cases on Tuesday (June 8) with 6019 testing positive for the virus. As many as 43 deaths were reported in the state during the period. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 8.6 %.

For the fifth consecutive day, Odisha has recorded MORE THAN 40 DEATHS. 43 persons SUCCUMBED to Covid-19 in last 24 hours. VIRUS DEATH TOLL in Odisha mounts to 3,123. Odisha’s Test Positivity Rate (TPR) unchanged; stood at 8.6 per cent. Of the new cases, 3397 are from QUARANTINE, 2622 are LOCAL CONTACT cases.
KHORDHA tops Covid chart with 796 infections; CUTTACK followed with 531 positives. ACTIVE CASELOAD stands at 71,312 in Odisha. Cumulative POSITIVE TALLY of the state rises to 8,31,129. 8,836 persons RECOVERIED/DISCHARGED in Odisha on Tuesday. Till date, as many as 7,56,641 Covid patients have RECUPERATED in Odisha.
