In a suspected case of suicide, a youth and a woman were found hanging from a tree a little away from Dhanasola village under Rasagobindapur Police Limits in Mayurbhanj district. On Friday (June 4) morning, a few locals found the bodies hanging from a tree, one with a stole and the other with a towel. They immediately informed the police about the incident.
The bodies have been retrieved and sent for an autopsy. As per reports, the deceased persons aged 20 and 30 years old are from Darakoli and Kantabani villages.
Following an investigation, the police informed their family members. The police also interrogated their relatives to find more clues. A scientific team has also been roped in to investigate the case.
It is being said that the couple had offered prayers to God before taking the drastic step as a photo of Hindu Gods was found at the crime spot.
The locals suspect that the duo was in a relationship and decided to end their lives due to a failed love affair.
