As apprehensions continue to grow among the students regarding conduct of Plus-2 examinations, Odisha government is likely to take a final decision on the CHSE (Council of Higher Secondary Education) exams very soon, based on the Supreme Court’s decision with regard to the CBSE Class 12 examination.
On Monday, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash informed that the state government is waiting for the final decision of the Supreme Court on the conduct of the Class 12 Board examination. A decision regarding the Plus-2 examination will be taken after the Apex Court clears the air on the CBSE Class 12 exams, the minister has said.
Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said, "During the CBSE meeting that was conducted under the chairmanship of Union Minister, an option was provided. Keeping that option in mind discussions were underway, but in the meantime, a case was registered with the Supreme Court. The hearing at the Supreme Court has been adjourned to June 3 (Thursday). So most likely we will take a decision after the SC hearing. Odisha Chief Minister had earlier informed that discussion will be held in the first week of June regarding conduct of Plus-2 examination. We are definitely analyzing all aspects regarding this matter. Discussions are underway, the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik takes right decision at the right time and whatever decision is taken will be appropriate and the same would be informed to the students at the right time."
