These images from Kudumulugumma in Malkangiri have gone viral on social media. This purported video show a group of people dancing to the tunes of Sambalpuri music. But among them is Sushree Gayatri Devi, who is the Block Education Officer (BEO).
The officer along with a few others can be seen dancing and flouting Covid-19 guidelines. None of these people are wearing masks nor there is social distancing. Though the exact date of the footage is yet to be confirmed, as per reports, it was recorded while COVID19 restrictions were in force. This video has reportedly been shot at the government guest house of the irrigation department in Balimela.
Though the BEO was contacted repeatedly, no response could be obtained from her on the matter.
