Back in June, Apple CEO, Tim Cook announced that employees would have to return to the office in September. But, now the iPhone maker is delaying its plans to return to the office again. As per reports, Apple has delayed return to office until at least January 2022. The company took this decision as the United States witnesses a surge in cases of the delta variant of Covid-19. In an internal email, the iPhone maker said the employees would get a month's notice before they rejoin work in-person.

Meanwhile, Deirdre O’Brien, senior vice president of people and retail, motivated the employees by saying that the pandemic period has been a time of great tragedy, suffering, and heartbreak for many colleagues around the world and they are always there to support one another and stand with one another during such challenging times. Earlier, Social media giant Facebook also delayed its return-to-office plans till early next year. On the other side, Microsoft has also pushed its full office reopening date from September to "no earlier than October 4, 2021".
