The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a 'yellow warning' over 14 districts of the state for thundershowers and lightning during the next 24 hours.

As per the forecast of the MeT Centre, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha. A 'yellow warning' has been issued for 14 districts which are likely to experience thunderstorms and lightning during the period.

The districts include Malkangiri, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Nayagarh. In the next 24 hours, Bhubaneswar would witness partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thundershower.

The capital city is likely to experience maximum 34 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature 26 degrees Celsius. The forecast suggests that parts of coastal and southern Odisha will experience moderate to heavy rainfall later this week.
