IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall Likely In Odisha Under Low Pressure Area Influence Over BoB

A cyclonic circulation formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal off West Bengal coast on Friday (August 27).

Under the influence of this cyclonic circulation a Low Pressure area formed over Northwest adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh- South Odisha coasts on Saturday (August 28). The regional center of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning for several districts in Odisha till 8:30 am of August 30.

The Met Centre predicted of heavy rainfall, may occurred at some places in southern and coastal belt of the State till 8:30 am of August 29. Heavy rain is likely to occur in the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam.
