Sunday afternoon, the Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that the south-west monsoon has covered the entire state of Odisha. The Met department informed that with the further advancement of South-west monsoon, the entire Odisha is experiencing onset of monsoon.

The Met Centre has predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts North Odisha and at many places over the districts of South Odisha. In view of this, a yellow warning has been issued for several districts of Odisha. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.

Moreover, a few places in the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri and Khurda would receive heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
