For the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, internationally acclaimed sand artist from Odisha, Sudarsan Pattnaik created this sculpture at Puri Beach. Sudarshan made this sculpture of Lord Ganesh using sand and seashells.

As many as 7,000 mollusk shells from the sea have been used to create this captivating sculpture.

Sudarshan said that he created the art first by using sand and then incorporated sea shells to give it a unique look. Sudarshan also urged everyone to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines during the pandemic and stay safe during the festival season.
