An online food delivery boy, who was allegedly kidnapped on Saturday in Bhubaneswar, staged his own abduction to cover up his love affair. This was revealed after the delivery boy was tracked down along with a girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Katia Railway Station.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the delivery boy, Patitapaban Prusty, who is already married, had carried out his own abduction to elope with his girlfriend. According to police sources, Prusty and his girlfriend will be brought back to Odisha for further investigation.
On the other hand, the family of the girl with whom Prusty had reportedly fled has filed a complaint against him at Gop Police Station in Puri District. The family accused Prusty of abducting their daughter and cited that both were in a relationship.
The police have also seized a letter written by the missing girl in this regard.Earlier on Sunday (September 12), Prusty’s wife and family members had filed a kidnapping complaint with the Commissionerate Police. They alleged that Prusty was kidnapped by some drunk miscreants on September 11.
