A cyclonic storm is likely to form over east central Arabian Sea around May 16th 2021. As per the India Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is very likely to form on May 14th morning over southeast Arabian Sea. It is very likely intensify gradually while moving north-north-westwards across southeast Arabian Sea across southeast Arabian Sea adjoining Lakshadweep. The IMD said this low pressure may intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over east central Arabian Sea around May 16th. It is likely to move north-north-westwards as it intensifies. On account of the same, the IMD has issued rainfall warning for Lakshadweep Islands, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka on May 14tha and May 15th. Wind warning has also been issued for Lakshadweep area, along & off Kerala – Karnataka, along & off Maharashtra-Goa coasts between May 14th and 16th.
