An elderly couple sustained critical injuries after being attacked by a mob in Sunapur village under Golanthara Police limits of Ganjam district.
The elderly couple was attacked over suspicion of practicing sorcery. The victims have been identified as Hari Behera and his wife.
The couple was attacked by the villagers following with they were rushed to the hospital for treatment. After the matter came to light, Police reached the village and started investigation. According to sources, Police have registered a suo motu case in connection with the incident.
